Collingwood’s netball program will remain in Sydney this week following changes to their round seven Super Netball match.
The Pies will play the Melbourne Vixens at 5.30pm on Saturday, 12 June at the Ken Rosewall Arena.
The Melbourne derby is traditionally played on Queen’s birthday, Monday 14 June, in support of the FightMND’s Big Freeze campaign.
Proceeds raised for the Big Freeze 7 support to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure for Motor Neuron Disease.
The decision to move the game was made by Netball Australia this morning in response to the COVID-19 outbreak and extended stage three lockdown in Melbourne.
Collingwood have been away from home for 11 days to ensure the competition proceeds as scheduled.
The club will continue to be guided by Netball Australia and the government’s public health advice.
