Super Netball returns this weekend and we take on the Giants to retain our top four spot.
We’re back at Melbourne Arena this weekend for the second Melbourne double header of the year! Sunday is set to be huge, with Ash Brazill playing her 100th national league game, and we’ll see the return of over 10 international players across the two games. We’re only three points ahead of the Giants on the ladder, so round 10 is crucial for the Pies to win.
It’s been over a month since our last game, round nine where we played the Firebirds in an epic game at Melbourne Arena, which put us in the top four going into the World Cup break. The players know there is still a lot of work to do to lock in a finals appearance in 2019. The players who remained in Melbourne had two weeks off before getting right back into training, and our World Cup athletes were obviously working hard representing their countries.
Key match ups:
Round 10 marks the Pies last game in Melbourne until round 14 against the Vixens, so a win on Sunday will be crucial to us before we hit the road over the next three weeks!
