Collingwood head coach Nicole Richardson will be supported by Kate Upton as assistant coach for 2021.

Since Collingwood’s inaugural netball campaign in 2017, Upton has fulfilled the assistant coach position. This will be her fifth consecutive year in the role.

2017 also saw Upton head coach Collingwood’s Australian Netball League (ANL) side, the Tasmanian Magpies, for two seasons. Upton led the team to its maiden premiership title in 2018.

This year both Upton and Richardson were apart of Collingwood’s 2020 campaign which saw the program relocate to a hub in Queensland for 11 weeks.

For a third season Geva Mentor will captain a squad list of ten.

Mentor is joined by Jodi-Ann Ward and former Vixens’ training partner Jacqui Newton in Collingwood’s defence end.

2020 best and fairest runner up Molly Jovic returns to the midcourt along with Melissa Bragg.

Ash Brazill and Kelsey Browne edge closer to a return following knee injuries. The pair have resumed full-time training.

Shimona Nelson, Gabby Sinclair and new addition Kalifa McCollin strengthen the Pies shooting circle.
