Collingwood goaler Nyah Allen has today signed her first Super Netball contract.
The 20-year-old joined the club as a training partner in December 2019 following a stint with the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
From 2017 the teenager from Mount Gambier was a part of the South Australian state team for three years.
At 183cm tall, Allen had a break-out year with the Pies during the 2020 season where she became a fan favourite credit to her composure and accuracy following the introduction of the two-point Super Shot.
Allen joins Shimona Nelson and Sophie Garbin in the shooting circle for the 2023 campaign.
Collingwood GM of Netball, Amie Quirk, congratulated Allen.
“We are delighted to reward Nyah with her first senior contract,” Quirk said.
“Over the past two years, Nyah has proven herself as a strong competitor in the Super Netball competition which is a credit to her discipline and endeavour to continuously improve her craft.
“At 20 years of age Nyah is an important part of our program’s future, and we look forward to what she will create in 2023.”
