Collingwood has today informed Gabrielle Sinclair that she will not be offered a new contract with the club.
Sinclair joined Collingwood as a training partner in 2017 where she played for the club’s former Australian Netball League side, the Tasmanian Magpies, and was instrumental in the side’s 2018 premiership success.
In 2019 the 28-year-old was elevated to Collingwood’s senior list and went on to claim the starting goal attack position for the 2020 campaign. Sinclair went on to play 47 national league games.
Collingwood General Manager of Netball, Amie Quirk, thanked Sinclair for her contribution to the club.
“In addition to being a dedicated athlete, she is an incredible person first, which is a credit to Gabby and the way she has conducted herself throughout her time at the club,” Quirk said.
“Gabby is a success product of our club’s netball pathway program, and we wish Gabby all the best for the next phase of her career.
“We thank Gabby for playing a role across our netball programs. She has written herself into Collingwood’s story and will always be welcome.”
