The Collingwood Magpies have won all three of their games in the first half of Super Club 2019 in Nelson, New Zealand.
Placed in pool B, the team came up against the Magic, Tactix and Northern Stars – all New Zealand teams who compete in the ANZ Championship. All three games were won comfortably, with Ash Brazill, Nat Medhurst and Mel Bragg earning themselves MVP honours in games one to three respectively.
The club brought 11 athletes over to compete and in all three games has succeeded in getting all 11 on court, testing a range of combinations that prove the Magpies are going to be a tough opponent in the 2020 Suncorp Super Netball season. Two players in the group, Brooke and Nyah have had strong appearances on court, which gives Tasmanian Magpies fans a lot to look forward to in 2020 as well.
On Wednesday the team has a community day, where they will visit two primary schools followed by a stand-up paddle boarding activity at one of Nelson’s beautiful beaches.
The finals will be Thursday and Friday evenings, we will release the fixture once this has been finalised.
